Um passeio fluvial de aproximadamente 1 hora ao longo do rio Cávado, a bordo de uma réplica da antiga barca de passagem da Barca do Lago.

Entre paisagens naturais e margens ricas em biodiversidade, o percurso convida a observar aves locais e migratórias, enquanto se descobre a história e as tradições ligadas ao rio e às suas comunidades.

Num contexto em que o sargaço se torna cada vez mais raro, a sua chegada ganha um significado quase ritual, revelando a ligação profunda entre natureza, trabalho e território.

Entre práticas ancestrais e especulação sobre futuros possíveis, o filme cruza ciência, mitologia e memória, propondo uma reflexão sobre sustentabilidade, ecologia e património cultural do litoral norte português.

Na Faina do Argaço, by Mariana Vilanova, is a 25-minute film exploring the relationship between coastal communities and the harvesting of sargaço seaweed, historically valued for fertilising fields and known for its therapeutic properties.

In a context where sargaço is becoming increasingly rare, its arrival takes on an almost ritual significance, revealing the deep connection between nature, labour, and territory.

Between ancestral practices and speculative futures, the film intertwines science, mythology, and memory, reflecting on sustainability, ecology, and the cultural heritage of Portugal’s northern coast.

Um encontro das Guardiãs da Natureza, rede portuguesa de mulheres com projetos dedicados à conservação e cuidado dos territórios naturais, com especial enfoque no Parque Natural do Litoral Norte.

A sessão começa com um momento de apresentação das participantes, seguindo-se uma caminhada até ao pinhal que as Guardiãs têm vindo a acompanhar e cuidar.

Ao longo da atividade, será realizada uma ação de manutenção e limpeza do espaço, num gesto coletivo de cuidado do território. Um encontro aberto a todas as pessoas que queiram conhecer o trabalho das Guardiãs e participar nesta relação ativa com a natureza.

A gathering of the “Guardians of Nature”, a Portuguese network of women working on environmental conservation and stewardship, with a particular focus on the Northern Littoral Natural Park.

The session begins with introductions of the participants, followed by a walk to the pine forest that the Guardians have been caring for.

Uma oficina aberta no espaço público dedicada ao Mapa de Bem-Estar Hídrico, um projeto que explora a relação entre água, território e qualidade de vida.

A atividade convida à partilha de perceções, sensações e experiências ligadas à água no quotidiano, procurando compreender de forma coletiva como o bem-estar humano se relaciona com a presença, qualidade e vivência dos ecossistemas hídricos.

Mais do que recolher dados, este momento abre um espaço de escuta e reflexão sobre a água como elemento essencial da vida, da paisagem e das relações entre pessoas e território.

Uma performance de dança site-specific dirigida por Małgorzata Suś, com participação da comunidade local de Esposende, explorando o sentido de pertença à natureza do Parque Natural do Litoral Norte.

Inspirada nas dinâmicas do oceano, nas transformações da paisagem costeira e na biodiversidade de espécies endémicas e migratórias, a performance propõe uma reflexão sobre como a relação incorporada com o território pode gerar cuidado, ligação e bem-estar, tanto para humanos como para outras formas de vida.

A ação acontece na Restinga do Cávado, num encontro entre corpo, paisagem e movimento.

A site-specific dance performance directed by Małgorzata Suś, with the participation of the local community of Esposende, exploring the sense of belonging to the nature of the Northern Littoral Natural Park.

Inspired by the dynamics of the ocean, the transformations of the coastal landscape, and the biodiversity of endemic and migratory species, the performance reflects on how embodied relationships with territory can foster care, connection, and well-being for both human and more-than-human life.

The performance takes place at the Cávado sandbar (Restinga do Cávado), in a meeting between body, landscape, and movement.

Este espaço vivo funciona como um arquivo em evolução, onde memórias, histórias de cheias e experiências ligadas à água são partilhadas, recolhidas e reinterpretadas ao longo do festival.

O público é convidado a trazer fotografias relacionadas com inundações e cheias em Esposende, que serão digitalizadas e integradas na “Flooding Photo Collection in Esposende”, contribuindo para a construção coletiva deste arquivo vivo.

A artista permanece no espaço durante o período da exposição, promovendo momentos de encontro e diálogo com o público e incentivando a participação ativa neste processo em transformação.

A process-based, evolving exhibition by artist Seila Fernández Arconada, exploring the relationships between water, territory, and community in Esposende. This living space functions as an evolving archive, where memories, flood stories, and lived experiences of water are shared, collected, and reinterpreted throughout the festival.

The public is invited to bring photographs related to floods and inundations in Esposende, which will be digitised and included in the “Flooding Photo Collection in Esposende”, contributing to the creation of this living archive.

The artist remains present in the space during the exhibition period, fostering moments of encounter and dialogue with the public and encouraging active participation in this evolving process.

Uma exposição narrativa e visual do projeto Ressonâncias, patente na Foz do Neiva, junto à ponte pedonal, ao longo de todo o Fórum-Fest.

A partir de textos, composições e registos visuais, o projeto reúne diferentes formas de escutar e interpretar a água — os seus sons, ritmos e histórias — construídas a partir do território e das experiências dos participantes.

Entre rio e paisagem, esta exposição convida a parar, observar e escutar o que a água tem para dizer.

A narrative and visual exhibition from the Ressonâncias project, on display at Foz do Neiva, next to the pedestrian bridge, throughout the Forum-Fest.

Uma intervenção performativa inspirada nas ligações da água em Esposende, desde memórias de cheias até às formas contemporâneas de relação, adaptação e transformação dos ecossistemas hídricos em tempos de incerteza.

Este ritual contemporâneo propõe um espaço de imaginação e coexistência com a água, ativando o antigo farol da Bonança (Ofir) durante a lua cheia como elemento simbólico de luz, orientação e memória.

Um momento de encontro entre corpo, território e água, onde se cruzam memória, presença e futuro.

A performative intervention inspired by the watery connections in Esposende, from flood memories to contemporary forms of relation, adaptation, and transformation of water ecosystems in times of uncertainty.

This contemporary ritual creates a space for imagining watery coexistence, activating the old Bonança lighthouse (Ofir) under the full moon as a symbolic element of light, guidance, and memory.
